You’ll need to share your contact details and vehicle information, including your name and phone number, and the vehicle type, condition and location. To get started, you can fill out a form on the website or call 85. The Red Cross says the entire donation process typically takes 30 days from the time you first reach out to when you receive a tax donation receipt. While the Red Cross receives a portion of the proceeds, CARS uses some of the donation’s value for its own mission to provide transportation to people with mobility restrictions, such as older adults and persons with disabilities. Both organizations are rated four out of four stars by Charity Navigator.ĬARS is an IRS-recognized nonprofit and it also benefits from the donation. To obtain an initial zero, I shot off of a rest at 25yds, was getting one hole groups. We want to shoot more and save the centerfire ammo. I set this rifle up to shoot at 25yd AQT targets and my buddy is doing the same thing. I must say these sights are THE BEST THING SINCE THE 10/22 WAS INVENTED! After mounting according to the directions, snugging everything up, I went to the range yesterday. I received my TSR200 sights a few days ago. They have given us a few more usable shooting years. Your product is EXCELLENT in concept, design, and construction! One is for an M1 Carbine tribute I built for my 81 year old dad, a veteran US paratrooper. I have your TSR100 sights on 2 of my Ruger 10/22s. If you guys ever design a sight for the Mosin Nagant I will definitely pick up a set.Īgain, a great sight, thanks for making my 10/22 experience an awesome one. Plus it gives the gun a M1 Carbine look that I like. The stock sights and scopes were not as easy for me. I can shoot my rifle consistently pinging targets between 4-8″ at 100 yds. I put your sights on my 10/22 over ten years ago, I am not sure exactly when I got them anymore. Mounted on my Ruger 10/22 takedown, approximately two years ago. Ramos – Author, Tactical Ruger 10/22 (Paladin Press) I look forward to see more innovations from you. Tech- Sight products are indeed the very best there is that is available for the 10/22 and SKS rifles. I believe in giving credit to where credit is due. My grouping easily shrank by half from 25 to 100 meters – incredible improvement in accuracy, thanks to those clear sight pictures. After testing and evaluating the Tech-Sights installed in my own rifles compared to other similar devices out there, I can only say one thing – “Nothing even comes close”. Knowledgeable shooters who admire a quality product specially designed to match or exceed those devices found on high end precision rifles will truly appreciate the Tech-Sight systems. I could honestly say “finally, someone came up with truly affordable, extremely functional and incredibly rugged precision iron sights for the 1022 and SKS. What a sight!!! In the past twenty five years I have tested and evaluated hundreds of firearms accessories including dozens of sighting systems for magazine articles. Riders were required to transfer from one train to another at the Ogden Central Station. As such, they limited FrontRunner to one southbound train in the morning and one northbound in the evening. Īnother issue was that the shared track was still dispatched by Union Pacific, who did not want FrontRunner service to interfere with their busy freight corridor in Ogden. A bus bridge was used between Ogden and Pleasant View until September 29, 2008, when the track improvements were complete. Firstly, improvements had to be made to the track to make it suitable for passenger operations, but that work was delayed when railroad workers were diverted to repair tracks damaged by a landslide near Oakridge, Oregon. The station in Pleasant View, which is north of Ogden, was supposed to open along with the rest of the line in April 2008, but it was plagued by a variety of service problems stemming from the last 6 miles of track being shared with Union Pacific Railroad freight service. At the time, the service only ran from Ogden to Salt Lake Central with stops in Roy, Clearfield, Layton, Farmington, and Woods Cross. What is now known as the FrontRunner North division was the original segment of the line that opened to the public on April 26, 2008. The train was named "FrontRunner" because its route runs nearly the length of the Wasatch Front. Eight more stations opened on December 10, 2012, and one more on August 8, 2022. Seven of the planned eight stations opened to riders on April 26, 2008. Work started on the initial section of the line from Salt Lake City to Ogden in 2005. By 2002 an agreement to purchase the shop and renovate it to become UTA's Warm Springs Shop was approved. In the same year, UTA began negotiations with Union Pacific to purchase the former Salt Lake Shops. In 1998 UTA tested a commuter train set borrowed from the Altamont Corridor Express along Union Pacific track which runs alongside what would eventually be the FrontRunner route. There is no charge for parking in these lots, and the number of parking spaces available at each station ranges from "limited" to 874. Several stations have a Park and Ride lot. FrontRunner trains face north, regardless of the direction of travel. FrontRunner is a push–pull train locomotive system (with the locomotives running backwards half the time). FrontRunner operates some service on holidays other than Thanksgiving, Christmas and the observed Christmas holiday, and New Year's Day and the observed New Year's holiday. As of August 2017 FrontRunner does not run during most hours of Sundays. On Saturdays trains run every hour from about 6 a.m. to just after midnight on weekdays (increasing to half-hour runs for the morning and evening commutes). There are about 25 round trips on weekdays between Ogden and Provo (through Salt Lake City). FrontRunner closely parallels Interstate 15 for most of the route. UTA-owned track parallels UP track until Ogden, where, until Aug(date of last train), when service to Pleasant View was "Suspended Indefinitely", Union Pacific and Utah Transit Authority shared the final 6 mi (9.7 km) of track to Pleasant View.ħ4% of the route used by FrontRunner is single-tracked, with double-track at stations and several other points along the route to allow trains to pass each other. The route uses a portion of the right-of-way of the historic Utah Central Railroad, built in 1869 to connect the First transcontinental railroad with Salt Lake City and acquired by the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) in 1878. Before the Pleasant View station was closed, the total length was 88 miles (142 km). In 2022, the system had a ridership of 3,168,300, or about 12,200 per weekday as of the second quarter of 2023.įrontRunner runs south from Ogden to Provo with a total length of 81.2 miles (130.7 km). FrontRunner ( reporting mark UTAX) is a commuter rail train operated by the Utah Transit Authority that operates along the Wasatch Front in north-central Utah with service from the Ogden Central Station in central Weber County through Davis County, Salt Lake City, and Salt Lake County to Provo Central station in central Utah County. I've yet to find that particular clause anywhere however. I've always imagined that contracts should contain a clause that says something to the tune of "the contractor shall be allowed to fix stuff without being caned to death so long as the design team agrees with the fix". It pays to be a team player."Īs an owner's rep, I'd be interested to know what you think of this Greatone76. Even when it's not built into the contract model (DB/IPD), all projects are collaborative. You're getting some good will that you may be able to trade against later on in the project life cycle. That way, as the owner, you are getting something of value. A better strategy is to let the contractor know that you expect better workmanship, will be keeping an eye on things going forward, but are willing to let this deviation slide because you acknowledge that one has to pick one's battles. Word will get around that you're unreasonable to work with and your projects will get priced accordingly. If you go and harass your contractor for financial compensation and/or unnecessary remediation every time that something needs to be repaired or allowed to violate specifications, you're going to find that your costs will increase substantially on your future projects. Good enough meaning that it is reasonable and can be expected to last for the anticipated service life of the building (50 yr or whatever). However, that does not mean that the repaired/tolerated defect is not 'good enough'. In most cases, a repaired / out of tolerance component will not be as 'good' as the same component would have been if it were constructed per spec and required no repair. Therefore they should be compensated somehow, right?". Now that XXX is out of tolerance or XXX has been repaired, they're getting less than what they paid for. PROJECT MANAGER: "The owner has paid for a particular level of quality. Something will either be out of tolerance or field repaired. From time to time, they'll bring issues to me for review on jobs where another firm is the EOR. There is an entire wing of my company that is devoted to project management. The owner's rep perspective is an interesting one. I feel industry standard tolerances apply and feel they should be met, but what do you do when an engineer signs off on something out of spec? Any good specific arguments about this situation that would help my point? RE: Stem Wall Out of Plumb Am I right to use that reference? I can't find anything that applies in the Section 3 Foundation Section. I have also been using ACI 117-06 Section 4 to state that the 1" out of plumb far exceeds the 0.3% allowable. But it does have significant loads from the weight of the masonry. Am I wrong to be bothered by this wall having such poor craftsmanship and being accepted? This building is a simple 1 story 8" block masonry wall building, so it shouldn't have any unrealistic loads. I am being told that the designer of the project has approved this. So form the last 12" of height as much as 1" in 12" out of plumb. Where they want to form the slab that extends over the wall back to be in the correct location. The contractor and CM submitted a sketch to the designer. Really crappy supporting of the Symons forms. I have section of wall that are both leaning out and leaning in significantly. The out of plumb and location of the wall waves in an out along the length. 6 inches out of place, but also the wall is out of plumb by 1" from top to bottom in several areas. After further investigation it was seen that both side of the building foundation are at max. I asked for the contractor and CM to investigate based on it not appearing to meet that spec requirement. Using ACI 117-06 I used 3.2.2 Foundations supporting masonry Horizontal deviation of the as-cast edge shall be the lesser of ☒% of the foundation’s width or ☑/2 in. I measures across the building and got an extra inch and an eighth of width from design on the building. It sits on a 12" thick footing and is 56" tall from the footing to the underside of the slab that goes over the wall. After forms were removed from the foundation wall I noted a significant bow out in the foundation wall. I'm working as an owner's rep on a project. Escape: Psycho Circus Escape: Psycho Circus 2015.
